2. Select extruded board with appropriate compressive strength according to the use function and load of the basement. Generally, when used for basement floor insulation, the compressive strength should not be less than 250kPa; when used for basement wall insulation, the compressive strength of about 150kPa can usually meet the requirements.
3. The basement environment is humid, the water absorption rate of the extruded board should be low, and the closed-cell rate should reach more than 99%, which can effectively prevent moisture penetration and prevent the basement from getting moldy due to moisture.
4. It is generally recommended to choose a thickness of 30mm-50mm for basement insulation. If the basement insulation requirements are high or the local climate is cold, you can choose an extruded board with a thickness of 50mm or more.
5. Check whether the extruded board has a complete quality inspection report and certificate of conformity to ensure that its performance indicators meet national standards and engineering requirements.
6. The basement is a relatively closed space with relatively few personnel activities, and has high fire protection requirements. You should choose an extruded board with a fire protection grade of B1 or higher, which has good flame retardant properties and can effectively prevent the occurrence and spread of fire.
